Kearney's scrapyard

Behind King's Cross / St Pancras Station, London
According to the book 'Sweeney - The Official Companion', crook Kearney's yard was filmed on land behind King's Cross Station. It's actually behind St Pancras (close enough!) on Camley Street. In recent years the whole area has been transformed to make way for the new International rail terminal at King's Cross. The extension to the back of St Pancras station (on the right in the photo) is where the scrapyard used to be. Only one gas cylinder (seen in the background of most of the scrapyard scenes) still stands today, and is in the middle of being dismantled and moved. Streepmap and Multimap still show 7 cylinders standing.
